Spring 2025 Quick Details

Deadline: Feb 25th (late reg accepted based on availability)

Season: March - May

Registration: $99 per player

Ages: Coed 3.5-4, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12

Coaching: Blue Tornado Staff

Get Ready for an exciting Spring soccer season with Blue Tornado! Our fun, skill-building league is designed for kids that just want to enjoy themselves and parents that want an affordable, yet professional soccer option that provides a supportive, engaging environment for every player.  

Our Director Sidney Causey does not coach any teams.  Her responsibility is to ensure parents have the information they need and that our paid coaching staff is delivering curriculum in a positive and engaging way to the players. 

We have 2 “indoor soccer” fields that kids love to play in - artificial grass surrounded by hockey boards and a wall-to-wall-to-cieling of netting so the ball never leaves and the game is never stops!


Spring 2025 Full Details:

  • Registration Deadline & Cost: Feb 25 | Only $99/player | Players register individually - no team requirements
  • Season: 1st week of March thru end of May  |  10 practices | 10 games + fun jamboree tournament
  • Age Groups: Coed 3.5-4, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12 years
  • Practice & Game Schedule:
    • 3.5-4 years: Saturday 8:30-9:30 am
    • 5-12 years: Tues, Wed, or Thurs 5:30-6:30 pm practice. Pick your practice day! Saturday morning games.


More Details:

  • Weekly Training:  One session each week with a Blue Tornado coach who will guide your child through our proven Individual Player Development curriculum in a fun and engaging environment. 
  • Fast-Paced Games using our "Pause, Learn, Play" methodology ensures good soccer choices and habits are learned through discussion and self - discovery thus increasing a player’s overall knowledge and enjoyment of the game
  • Medals for all players at the end of the season
  • Training Shirt for each player

Director Sidney Causey
 

Sidney is a recent graduate from Florida Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and is currently employed at Nightwing.  With her outstanding leadership and management skills combined with her long-standing involvement in the game of soccer Coach Sidney is poised to make yours and your child’s soccer experience an enjoyable one!

Coach Jordan Humbert
 

Coach Jordan is in her 4th season as the Assistant Coach for Eastern Florida State College Women’s team.  A Rockledge native, Jordan played 4 years of NCAA Division II women’s soccer at Eckerd College and then Valdosta State University where she earned her B.A. in Communications.  She is entering her 5th season as the Rockledge High School Girls Head Coach and is excited to have the opportunity to now coach youth players in her community.

Coach Mike Karr
 

Coach Mike, who holds his national USSF and NSCAA youth licenses, has over 20 years of coaching, director of coaching and executive director experience in all levels of the game of soccer.  Currently Mike is the Iconz Elite youth and USL goalkeeper coach and Rockledge High School Girls Assistant Coach.  Mike is excited not only to work with your child but to also help the next generation of enthusiastic Blue Tornado coaches. 

Coach Mikayla Smith

Coach Kayla started playing soccer at 4 years old through AYSO and Real So Cal WVSL in California. During middle and high school, she played for F.C. Chivas, as well as Eclipse Simi Valley Soccer Club. Mikayla went on to run cross country at Macalester College before transferring to University of Central Florida, where she is currently earning her B.S. in Psychology. After moving to Florida, she’s been reunited with her passion for soccer and has coached hundreds of kids in Brevard. She loves working with children, having over 8 years of experience, and she can’t wait to share her love for the sport with you!

Coach Joseph Rinke
 

Coach Joseph, who earned his UEFA B coaching badge, last coached at SC Bruehl in Germany earning the Under 14s league promotion as well as several players being accepted into the club’s professional academy. Joseph was a student athlete at California Sate University Los Angels and were NCAA Division II Conference Champions.  He now wants to share his experiences and show youth players the beauty, passions and cultures of soccer. 

 

Coach Matthew Rampersad

Coach Matt has played soccer all his life, growing up in Trinidad and Tobago, where he competed for local clubs and his high school team. After an injury ended his pursuit of a professional career, he shifted to coaching while continuing to play recreationally. Now serving as the head coach of the Florida Tech Soccer Club, he is passionate about developing young athletes technically, tactically and mentally to best set them up to succeed on and off the field.

Coach Teagan Champley

Coach Teagan has been playing soccer since the age of 5 and is currently a member of the Florida Tech Club Team. While attending Oregon High School in Illinois, she earned a state ranking for her skills on the field. With coaching experience that includes working with youth soccer teams and children with disabilities, Coach Teagan is dedicated to fostering a love for the game and supporting player development. Her background as both a player and coach allows her to bring a unique and inclusive approach to her coaching, helping athletes of all levels grow on and off the field.

 

Coach Ghalid Glen Brown

Coach Glen throughout his life has always played on competitive teams that he feels had very strong, positive and unifying leadership.  He believes coaching is a great way to be involved in the community while simultaneously learning and growing as an individual.
